Meet David and Rachel

Flexyz by North Coast 3D Printing is a family-owned business based on the beautiful Northern California coast.

What started with David’s hobby 3D printer and Rachel’s elementary classroom quickly grew into something much bigger. When Rachel’s students began bringing broken 3D printed fidget toys to school, she found herself constantly repairing them with a hot glue gun. One day she sent a picture to David, who replied, “I can make those.” Together, we printed a dragon for every student in her class, and before long, friends, families, retailers, and festival customers were asking for more.

Today, Flexyz products can be found in 15 retail locations and are enjoyed by collectors of all ages. Every item is printed and assembled by our family using PLA bioplastic, a plant-based material made from renewable resources. Living among the redwoods and coastline of Northern California has inspired us to create products that are not only fun and durable, but also kinder to the environment. By manufacturing locally and printing to order, we reduce waste and avoid the environmental costs of overseas mass production and long-distance shipping.
